Scholarship Opportunity

The National Society of Genetic Counselors Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion makes the following statement:

A guiding principle of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) is to integrate genetics and genomics to improve healthcare. As a society, we can only meet this goal by promoting the active participation and leadership of people with diverse identities, perspectives, and backgrounds. Starting within our organization and extending into the larger healthcare system, we seek to empower our members to advocate for themselves, each other, and the diverse people we strive to serve.

In accordance with this mission, the Association for Utah Genetic Counselors (AUG) and the University of Utah Graduate Program of Genetic Counseling (UUGCGP) will be extending an opportunity for scholarship to two (2) individuals choosing to apply to attend the 2021 Genetic Counseling Career Camp.

Association for Utah Genetic Counselors (AUG) reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any event sponsored by AUG, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. AUG may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used, or contracted by AUG including but not limited to: brochures, invitations, social media, emails, magazines, websites, etc. A person attending an AUG event who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the photographer and/or the event organizers at the time of the event.
